The Human Body System

Functions of the System and Homeostasis
The Circulatory System is largely responsible for getting blood where it needs to go. To do this, requires 6 functions: Respiration, Nutrition, Waste Removal, Immunity, Cellular Communication, and Thermoregulation. ach of these is very important in keeping the body performing its other functions.
The first function of this system, respiration, is responsible for giving oxygen to the cells and also taking the carbon dioxide out of them. Without this function, the cells would not get any of the needed oxygen to live. Next, is nutrition. This function takes the important food molecules which were excreted by the small intestine and tskes them to the cells. Waste removal is also a very important function within the Circulatory System. It takes all of the poisionous materiel and waste producs from the other systems of the body and gets them out of the body. Without this function, all of the harmful materiel created in by the other systems in the body would build up and create alot of problems and complications within the body. Another function is Immunity. This is espically important in maintaining homeostasis because it prevents the body from getting diseases otherwise harmful or even fatal to the rest of the body. Cellular communication comes into play in that it gives horomones a way to travel around throughout the body. Hormones act as stimulates to the other body's systems. Last is a function called thermoregulation. This function takes heat or coolness and transports it throughout the body. This function is again very important for maintaing homeostasis in that it makes sure that the body has enough heat in order to perform all other systems.
This system mostly has to do with transportation. Trasportation of important nutrients, heat, hormones, oxygen, and waste. The maitenence of homeostasis is present in all of these functions, but espically in immunity, and thermoreguation. If one of these functions were not present, the whole system would be thrown off, thus not performing correctly. Each function of the Circulatory system helps all other systems function.
