Dependence on other Functions

Your muscular system is directly affected by other systems in order for it to work. Each system plays its own role in the body but is needed for other systems to function too. They all work together to help maintain homeostasis. The muscular system relies on all of the systems to function. First, if there was not a skeletal system, skeletal muscle would not exsist. Also, there would be no movement if there was not a skeletal system as the muscles pull on the bones to allow movement. Next, If a digestive system wasn't present, then smooth muscle would not exsist. Smooth muscle is found only in a few organs, but it still would be affected it they weren't there. Cardiac muscle is only found in the heart and if the circularitory system did not exsist, then there would be not cardiac muscle. The respiratory system is the system that least affects the muscular system. There are skeletal muscles on the ribs which protect the lungs and smooth muscle that is inside of the blood vessels. The nervous system affects the muscular system quite a bit. The brain sends signals to the muscles which tells them when to move. Without this important system, the muscles would not be able to move. All of these systems are very important and affect the muscular system in a lot of ways.
