The Human Body System
Movement

How does your body move?
Bones, ligaments, nerves, tendons, and muscles all work together to enable movement. Ligaments and tendons are both made out of the same materiel, tough banded connective tissue. Ligaments stabilize, provide structure, and connect each one of the bones to eachother. Tendons, found at the end of each bone, relay force between the joints and the bones. The muscle and the bone both work together in a special way too. Skeletal muscle is connected to each bone and allows the muscle to actually move. When you want your arm, for example, to move up, your central nervous system in your brain tells your nerves to fire which pulls on your skeletal muscle, thus moving your arm. Luckly, we do not even have to tell our brain each time we want to move, it just happens. Our life is made easier beacuse of bones, ligaments, tendons, muscles, and nerves.
