Labeled Skeleton and Bone

Skeletal - This type of muscle is the most abundant in your body. It is connected to bones by tendons and ligaments. It is the muscle that enables movement by pulling one the bone when directed to by the brain. You can increase your skeletal muscle by excersizing and participating in rigerous activity.
Smooth - This type of muscle is found on the stomach, intestines, uterus, blood vessel walls, blatter and many duct glands. They are found stacked on top of eachother and is not arranged in a parallel pattern like skeletal muscle is. This type of muscle is involuntary and controls slow movements.
Cardiac - This type of muscle is only found on the heart and in a way is a combination of both structures of the smooth and skeletal muscles. It has cross striations which allows oxygen and nutrients to pass through it. This is the most important type of the muscle because it contols the beating of the heart and the circulation of blood through the body.
